Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
StreamChatGames is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Twitch OAuth: When you sign in with Twitch, we receive your username and Twitch user ID. We do not request or store your email address.
- YouTube OAuth (coming soon): When YouTube integration launches, we will receive your channel name and channel ID only.
- Chat Commands: When you type game commands in chat (e.g., !allin, !bet), we process the command text to run the game. We do not store general chat messages.
- Game Activity: We record game participation, results, chip transactions, and leaderboard statistics to provide the gaming experience.
How We Store Data
- Browser Storage: Authentication tokens, theme preferences, and recently visited channels are stored locally in your browser. We do not use cookies.
- Server-Side Storage: Chip balances, game participation history, player statistics, leaderboard data, and tournament history are stored in encrypted edge databases distributed across multiple regions for low-latency access.
What We Don't Do
- We do not use cookies — all client-side storage uses localStorage
- We do not sell, share, or trade your personal data with third parties
- We do not display advertisements
- We do not send marketing emails — we never collect email addresses
- We do not profile your behavior for advertising purposes
Data Retention
- Chip balances: Reset monthly on the 1st of each month (UTC)
- Game action logs: Retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted
- Hand result analytics: Retained for 30 days
- Access tokens: Expire after 30 minutes
- Refresh tokens: Expire after 30 days
- Leaderboard data: Retained indefinitely while the service operates
Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 on our landing pages to understand site traffic and improve the experience. This collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited and general location. No personal game data or chat content is sent to Google Analytics. You can opt out via Google's browser add-on.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Our application is hosted on edge computing infrastructure with data stored across distributed databases and key-value stores. Our hosting provider's privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data handling.
- Twitch (Amazon): We use the Twitch API for OAuth authentication, reading game commands from chat via webhooks, and receiving subscriber and cheer notifications. Twitch's privacy policy governs data they collect.
- YouTube (Google): Coming soon — we will use the YouTube API for OAuth authentication and chat message polling. Google's privacy policy will apply.
Your Rights
- Revoke access: You can disconnect StreamChatGames from your Twitch account at any time via Twitch Connection Settings.
- Clear local data: Clear your browser's localStorage to remove all locally stored tokens and preferences.
- Data deletion: To request deletion of your server-side data (game history, statistics, leaderboard entries), please contact us.
- Data portability: Upon request, we can provide an export of your game history and statistics.
